A press release is an announcement to the world of an event designed to generate buzz. While some authors question whether or not they have any value, a well-written press release can do wonders for visibility. The format of your press release should include your date and location, an attention-grabbing title, a short excerpt to draw people in, a well-written release that announces something important, like the release of your eBook or a big sale on your eBook, and links to where the eBook can be purchased. Additionally, the press release should contain either your own contact information or that of your publicist.
